Dr. Ball has been a principal investigator for HRI since its establishment. She has been conducting clinical research with Drs. Howard and Michael Hassman since 2003 in her previous positions. Dr. Ball leads the execution of psychiatry trials on the Berlin campus. She has extensive experience conducting structured clinical interviews and diagnostic evaluations on clinical trial subjects focusing on numerous mental health disorders.

Work History

Dr. Ball has participated as an investigator in over 200 trials, including over 50 Phase I and IIa trials. Her study experience extends beyond psychiatry to pain, sleep, and neurological disorders, as well as FIH and SAD/MAD trials in healthy subjects. Prior to HRI, Dr. Ball was an investigator with Comprehensive Clinical Research which she joined in 2010 following seven years as an investigator with CRI Worldwide. Dr. Ball’s diverse experience includes working for the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, School of Osteopathic Medicine from 1989 to 2003 in positions such as Director of Outpatient Services, Assistant Professor of Psychiatry, and Residency Program Director of the Department of Psychiatry. Dr. Ball is a member of over ten professional associations and a diplomate of numerous boards, including the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She has been part of over 50 medical publications and presentations.

Education

Dr. Ball is board certified in psychiatry with added qualifications in geriatric psychiatry. She received her medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and her M.A. in Psychology from Temple University.
